Under Section 30 of the Prevention of Corruption Act 2002, the Community Relations Branch is mandated to conduct public campaigns to alert the public on the dangers of corruption and conducts workshops and other activities for the prevention and elimination of corruption, amongst others. The Community Relations Branch uses a people-centred approach to prevent corruption.

OUR OBJECTIVES

  • Raise public awareness on dangers of corruption;
  • Reinforce integrity at all levels through empowerment programmes and mass communication campaigns;
  • Forge a corrupt free generation by promoting youth integrity;
  • Facilitating ownership of anti-corruption initiatives by stakeholders including the private sector;
  • Develop anti-corruption knowledge and capacity building of youth, would-be professionals and professionals on corruption issues;
  • Sustain the anti-corruption momentum in public bodies through the consolidation of anti-corruption structures;
  • Conduct mass media campaigns to reach a larger population;
  • Adopt new technologies to disseminate information and increase involvement of stakeholders;
  • Mobilize public support in the fight against corruption;
  • Increase intolerance towards corruption and encourage reporting of acts of corruption;

  • Inform the public on the manner in which complaints on acts of corruption should be made;
  • Liaise with private sector organisations to set up anti-corruption practices;
